Method
Make the party mix
- Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, add the roasted chickpeas, roasted fava beans, almonds, corn nuts, pretzel sticks. Don't add the cheddar crackers yet.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dill, lemon pepper, black pepper, cayenne, and flaky sea salt.
- Pour the seasoning over the dry mix and toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture evenly across the baking sheets in a single layer.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring once halfway through, just until warmed through and fragrant.
- Let cool completely so it crisps up fully, then add the cheddar crackers at the end. Toss to combine.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy with prosecco, wine, or your favorite cocktail.
Crispy roasted fava beans (optional, homemade)
- Soak dried split fava beans in water for 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
- Drain and dry thoroughly using a clean kitchen towel.
- Toss with olive oil and salt.
- Roast at 400°F for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- Let cool completely before using. Beans will crisp up as they cool.
